just a(nother) quick note of appreciation for this little town: at the last NYC coffee-peoples get-together, some ladies started imagining how much (more) fun it might be if we had a chicks-only coffee people outing. you know — no dudes trying to impress each other, comparing their parameters, etc.

how nice was it to meet up with fourteen ladies in the pouring rain, then? teh awesome. as always it is lucky and love-filled and impresses me with this city’s sense of community to see people from cafe grumpy, gimme! coffee, everyman, temptamp, counter culture, and those other rogue states drinkin’ hot toddies together? sorry to whoever got their hair caught on fire, but i swear, it wasn’t one of us. thanks to amberfox for finally getting the (first) “hoes before sproes” night off the ground.
